Colonel E.H. Taylor Cured Oak
The Colonel E.H. Taylor Cured Oak was aged for seventeen years in Buffalo Trace Distillery’s iconic brick and limestone Warehouse C. The virgin oak barrel staves used for this special release were allowed to dry outside in the open air for thirteen months, more than twice as long as standard. This extra curing process allowed the whiskey to extract more rich and complex flavors from deep within the oak.

Amanda Kosior –
A high-proof bourbon that delivers. Bold caramel and vanilla dominate the nose, but it’s the layered spice and fruit flavors on the palate
Ashley Li –
An excellent example of barrel-proof bourbon done right. The intense flavors of oak, vanilla, and spice are incredibly well balanced with the higher proof.
Alyssa Villafuerte –
it manages to be smooth and flavorful. The oak, caramel, and hints of cherry are perfectly layered. One for the collection.
Alicia McIlhinney –
This bourbon is bold, but the heat is balanced by deep, rich flavors. The caramel and spice are what stand out the most to me, making it a memorable batch.
Amy Hanan –
Everything you’d expect from a top-tier bourbon. The oak and caramel are rich, and the proof gives it a wonderful kick.
Andrew Osterday –
Incredibly smooth for such a high proof bourbon. The flavors of caramel, oak, and a touch of cherry create a fantastic balance. A must-try for any bourbon lover.
Lauren F. –
This batch has all the characteristics I look for in a barrel-Cured bourbon—rich oak, caramel, and a great spicy finish.
