Its oak-forward nature combined with a hint of lemon and coffee on the finish gave it an unexpected twist. It’s complex but definitely not for everyone.

Balanced yet subdued. It’s a great pour, but I expected a little more depth. The toffee and nutmeg notes were nice but not mind-blowing.

I love the wood-heavy scent of this bourbon. It’s got that sauna-like feel with the slight incense, but not too overpowering. The citrus on the palate really makes it shine.

Lot B was a wonderful surprise. I got hints of walnut and orange, and the alcohol wasn’t as harsh as I feared. It’s rich and delicious, but maybe not worth the secondary market prices.

For a 12-year bourbon, I expected a bit more complexity. It’s smooth, but I think Weller 12 does a better job at a fraction of the price. Good, but not outstanding.

Very enjoyable but a little shy on the nose. The caramel and subtle spice on the palate were excellent, though. I’d drink it again if the price wasn’t so steep.
