Description

Colonel E.H. Taylor Barrel Proof Batch 4

Originally released in 2015, Batch 4 EHTBP is a barrel proof whiskey aged for an estimated 7-8 years in #4 char American white oak barrels with a mature barrel strength of 127.2 proof. Composed of an undisclosed mash bill said to be derived from BTD’s #1 this choice whiskey offers aromatic notes of delicate spice and vanilla bean. The palate unfurls warmly with tones of vanilla, caramel-coated red apples, and dark chocolate blended with roasted nuts.

8 reviews for Colonel E.H. Taylor Barrel Proof Batch 4

  1. Ben Knuckles

An exceptional bourbon, Batch 4 shines with its bold caramel and oak notes, perfectly balanced with hints of fruit. Despite its high proof, it drinks smoothly. I would definitely buy it again.

  2. Annie Kerch

The high proof really sets this bourbon apart. Cherry and brown sugar come through strong, followed by vanilla. It’s a flavor rollercoaster, especially impressive for fans of bold bourbons

  3. Becca Lutterschmidt

Batch 4 is a standout in the E.H. Taylor lineup. The oak and caramel blend with subtle fruitiness make it a perfect pour for barrel-proof enthusiasts.

  4. Isabel Robles-Lopez

Batch 4 doesn’t disappoint. It opens with caramel and oak on the nose and delivers a complex palate of dark fruits and baking spices. One of my favorite batches to date

  5. Brian Murphy

A powerful sip but incredibly smooth for its 127.2 proof. The balance between oak and vanilla with subtle spice makes it an unforgettable experience.

  6. Brent Agee

Uncut and unfiltered, Batch 4 is one of the most authentic bourbon experiences I’ve had. The flavors are robust, yet there’s a warmth that makes it approachable.

  7. Brett Frey

An exceptional release. The caramel and dark fruit on the palate are complemented by a long, spicy finish. It’s strong, but never overwhelming.

  8. Brian Simpson

One of the best in the E.H. Taylor series. Batch 4’s rich flavor profile—combining caramel, oak, and subtle fruit—is perfectly balanced. Highly recommended.
