Brian Kinsman, the Glenfiddich Malt Master and only the 6th in their history since the Distillery was built in 1886, has personally selected the Glenfiddich Scotch Whiskies used to create this exclusive Glenfiddich Bourbon Cask Reserve, the second in the Glenfiddich Age of Discovery range.

The nose is mild but rich with well-aged wood and leather, and a few spicy notes. The body follows suit: It is big and rich and lets a moderate touch of the grain come through. As it develops in the glass, I get buttery shortbread cookies, along with just a few hints of toffee and caramel.

Typical Glenfiddich character. Well balanced and made for the 40%. I had tested this Madeira because I wanted to get the set. The PVL is a bit too high for me.
Finish: It stays wonderfully thick on the palate for a medium length. Sweet but quite dry with orange peel.
