Justin Ulrich –
Lush toffee, dark chocolate, and spices made this bottle a gem. The 124.9 proof handled water well. Complex and rewarding after a long sit.
Justin Croxton –
Surprisingly civilized nose with aromatic wood, vanilla, and tobacco. The palate is very woody, with zesty citrus and pepper. Classic oak char and burnt cherries dominate.
Joshua Farley –
Less punchy than expected for its proof, but a great mix of burnt caramel, tobacco, and seasoned oak. It’s smooth, well-balanced, and rich.
John Sundberg –
Light for Stagg but full of flavor. Raisins, brown sugar, rye spice, and caramel create a rich, manageable experience with depth.
Joe Popowicz –
he dry, woody finish lingers long with a touch of sweetness. The balance between rye and oak flavors stands out.
Jim Muzynoski –
Cherry cough syrup dominates the nose with underlying cinnamon. An earthy and tannic sip leads to a long, dry finish.
Jenn McGroary –
Nose of caramel and vanilla with a spicy, leathery palate. Excellent balance with an oak and tobacco finish that leaves a warm afterglow.
