Eric Adusei –
This release is exceptional. It offers a wonderful aroma of creamy vanilla, citrus, and spice. The palate has layers of orange peel, raspberries, and dark chocolate with a smooth finish of cedar and vanilla. Definitely one of the finest small batches from Four Roses.
Dolores Rivera –
A beautiful combination of sweet and spice. I loved the blend of dark chocolate and citrus upfront, followed by a smooth caramel finish. It’s perfect as an after-dinner treat or nightcap. With 93 points, it’s one of my favorite small batch releases.
Morgan Keil –
This small batch, with its blend of four aged bourbons, including a 17-year-old, is one of the most complex we’ve crafted. The mellow flavors of orange and caramel custard, combined with a subtle spice, make it a true gem.
Kay Greer –
The nose is bright with sweet fruit notes, and the palate is a balance of rich chocolate and fiery spice. A splash of water reveals layers of vanilla and cinnamon, making this one of the best limited editions for a bourbon enthusiast.
Gabriella Effendi –
The 2012 small batch is a decadent experience—hints of tropical fruit, red candy, and an impressive oak finish. Perfect for bourbon lovers who appreciate a smooth, layered pour with a mix of both sweetness and spice.
Catherine L. –
A masterpiece of balance. The nose is rich with creamy vanilla and citrus, along with hints of nutmeg and pipe tobacco. The palate reveals orange peel, raspberries, dark chocolate, and caramel, finishing with cedar and vanilla. This 2012 release is one of the finest crafted by Jim Rutledge.
Ahmad Shaltaf –
A sophisticated blend that showcases the best of Four Roses. The dark chocolate and citrus are front and center, while caramel and vanilla provide a smooth finish. One of my favorite small batch releases, scoring 93 points.
Dong Lee –
A complex and flavorful release. The palate starts with fruit—think cherries and orange zest—followed by a luscious layer of caramel custard and spice. A well-crafted bourbon that deserves high praise.
