Vintage Bourbon 23 Year Old
Vintage Bourbon is a boutique brand owned by Allied Lomar in California, who’s other products include Rare Perfection, Wattie Boone and Very Olde St Nick. Allied Lomar president, Marci Palatella, was Julian Van Winkle III’s agent in the Japanese market for many years, and their early bottlings were contracted to him at his Old Commonwealth distillery. The Van Winkle partnership with the Sazerac company in the early 2000’s ended this agreement however, with the production of bottles such as this moved to Willett distillery, where they were bottled by its owners, Evan Kulsveen’s Kentucky Bourbon Distillers.

This bourbon is unlike anything I’ve had. It’s got a grassy, dry flavor, with hints of creamy tart berries and sage. Not your typical bourbon, but it’s fantastic for those who like something unique.

The flavor is deep, rich with buttercream vanilla and dark cherries, balanced by earthy tobacco and cedar. It’s truly one of the best vintage bourbons for a special occasion.

It has this incredible balance of sweetness and spice, with a buttery mouthfeel. The long finish of cedar and vanilla makes every sip memorable.

For a bourbon aged 23 years, it delivers an impressive range of flavors, from rich oak to stewed fruits and hints of caramel. It’s the pinnacle of vintage bourbon.
