Description
Colonel E.H. Taylor Old Fashioned Sour Mash
During a gathering of Distillery retirees, a technique for crafting “Old Fashioned Sour Mash” whiskey was shared, reminiscent of Edmund Haynes Taylor, Jr.’s approach in the late 1800s. This bourbon, distilled in 2002, replicates Taylor’s method, allowing the mash to naturally sour before distillation. The result is a bourbon with unmatched character and body, echoing the past in a contemporary expression. This is the first and most rare release of the E.H. Taylor line by Buffalo Trace distillery.
